WHAT: The Theatre Performance IAALL technique involves creating a monologue to be performed by the language learner in a theatre in the country of the language they are learning.
HOW: The language learner finds a suitable collaborator who will work with them to create the write monologue, which they will then proceed to learn and eventually perform in front of an audience of locals. The context of the performance can vary greatly of course depending on what the language learner is comfortable with. It could be performed in a small theatre or even in a more informal setting.
